Lab customers not found in a customer search

There's an issue in earlier versions of Transactor 7 where if a Customer Type is set to LAB  (instead of Surgeon), that customer can't seem to be found using the Customer > Select menu or icon. The only way to retrieve this 'LAB' customer is to type in the Customer ID into the main form's customer box [and press Enter].

Cause:

The Surgeon selector, and the Batch Report Manager use the CustomerType's FLAG to determine what 'class' of customer a customer type is. eg. Surgeon, Principal Surgeon and Lab are all class (C)ustomer accounts). and Practices are of (D)elivery addresses).  Unfortunately below version 7.08 the two Flags used are (S)urgeons and  (P)ractices but you'll see the specific instructions for your version below.

Fix for versions up to 7.07: Set the 'LAB' Customer Type's class to 'CUSTOMER' ( S ) as follows:

From the Tools menu, choose Control Centre
Click 'Advanced'
Click 'Customer Types'
Double-click the LAB customer type to Edit this type
In the FLAGS box, type in capital S and click OK
Close the Control Centre.

Fix for versions 7.08 and above: Set the 'LAB' Customer Type's class to 'CUSTOMER' ( C ) as follows:

From the Tools menu, choose Control Centre
Click 'Advanced'
Click 'Customer Types'
Double-click the LAB customer type to Edit this type
In the FLAGS box, type in capital C and click OK
Close the Control Centre.
